Agency History
Mel Boehland – Founder
Boehland Insurance was founded by Mel Boehland in 2012. Prior to opening the agency, Mel had operated an Allstate Insurance agency. Mel was a former head football coach for Northwestern College in Roseville, MN and North Park University in Chicago, IL. He was a member of the University of North Dakota Athletic Hall of Fame and was a player for the Minnesota Vikings. After Mel’s death in 2021, Atlas Insurance Brokers acquired the agency, and it continues to be operated by longtime agency employees.
